FAMIS In order to facilitate worldwide research on the family, the Doha International Institute for Family Studies and Develop- ment has initiated the Global Family Matters Information System (FAMIS). Launched in response to a lack of web-based systems providing centralized access to content-rich resources from around the world, the Global FAMIS serves as an electronic archive of research on the sanctity and defense of the family.
Under Construction As part of its ongoing initiative to centralize information for promoting professional collabo- ration in global research on the family, the Doha International Institute for Family Studies and Development is providing the World Family Scholars Database (WFSD). The WFSD is an electronic index of family researchers that includes individual profiles containing contact information, professional details, and academic papers.
Under Construction Public submission of news and current events regarding the family from around the world to the Doha Institute is encour- aged.
